Daily use of sunscreen is essential, especially during the summer time.
If you failed to prevent your skin from sunburn and eventually burned out, then you can follow the steps below to accelerate skin regeneration, reduce inflammation and relieve skin from pulling and dehydration.
• Apply cool compresses or a clean towel dampened with cool water or chamomile to the affected skin.
• Take a cool shower to relieve the pain. Avoid strong fragrances, oils, etc., as they may cause inflammation.
• Do not scrub, shave or exfoliate in the affected area.
• Apply at least twice a day, a cortisone cream and aloe soothing cream.
• Avoid sun exposure while your skin heals from the sunburn, as this will make the burn worse.
• Simple painkillers and especially aspirin (unless you have a stomach problem) can help reduce pain and inflammation.
• Increase the consumption of liquids and especially cool water.
• Wear light and loose clothing made of cotton or linen.
If the irritation persists, visit your Dermatologist.
