It is a focused ultrasound device which is applied on the treated area .Ultrasound leads to liquefaction of fat cells and destruction of their cell membrane, which is removed by the lymphatic and venous pathway into the circulation and eventually excreted from the body by urine. The same method has also been successfully used to reduce local fat (e.g. thigs, waist, arms). Cavitation is commonly used in combination with RF technology, which appears to help to reduce cellulite but also to tighten the skin.

Is the Cavitation treatment painful? When can I go back to my activities?

It is a completely painless, non-invasive treatment. Some patients can “hear” the ultrasounds during the treatment. After the session they can immediately return to their daily routine without restriction.

How long does it last?

It usually lasts 10-30 minutes, depending on the treated area.

How many sessions are needed?

It depends on the severity of the problem. 3-8 sessions may be needed, spaced 20 days apart.

Are there contraindications?

This treatment is not recommended for people suffering from renal failure.

The results can be long lasting as long as the patient maintains his body weight.
